Veronica Jaeger, alto, received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Music from UCLA, where she studied with baritone Vladimir Chernov. Among her operatic roles performed are Maddalena in Rigoletto, Ottavia in L’Incoronazione di Poppea, and Zita in Gianni Schicchi. She has enjoyed giving recitals for the Los Angeles Hammer Museum’s Société Anonyme Exhibition concert series and the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest.
Before joining Cantores in Ecclesia, Veronica sang with the choir of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. as well as St James Episcopal Church in Los Angeles. She spent two summers studying German at Middlebury College in Vermont, and upon graduating, spent a year in Vienna, Austria enjoying its rich musical culture and church history. She currently studies voice with Allison Swensen.
