Scott Tuomi, tenor, is professor of voice, music history and choral music at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where he serves as chair of the Music Department. He has performed internationally as a tenor soloist in opera, choral and symphonic works, musical theater and in recital. His most recent performances include 'King Kaspar" in "Amahl and the Night Visitors" and "Mr. Mushnik" in "Little Shop of Horrors".
Scott has sung with Dean Applegate since 1981 and Cantores in Ecclesia since its inception. He and his wife Leslie met singing in Cantores and happily continue their affiliation by participating in the Byrd festival choir each year.
In addition, Scott conducts the Pacific University Chamber Singers and concert choir as well as serving as Music Director for St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal church. He is in great demand and a vocal teacher, choral clinician and adjudicator. He is an avid gardener, amateur photographer and fisherman and enjoys these with his two sons Jenson, age 15 and Duncan, age 13.
