Michael Hilton, tenor, has been a singer since an early age. He has performed with many distinguished conductors including: Helmuth Rilling, Anton Armstrong, Mia Miller, Ryan Heller, Alexander Lingas and Ivan Moody. Since an early age Michael has performed in many local ensembles: Oregon Repertory Singer’s Youth Choir, Pacific Youth Choir, Grant High School Royal Blue’s, Portland Symphonic Choir, the Bach Cantata Choir, Portland Camerata, and Cappella Romana. He has been the featured soloist in J.S. Bach’s Cantatas 106 and 130, Robert Kyr’s Santa Fe Vespers, Brahms - Zigeunerlieder at the Oregon Bach Festival Youth Choral Academy, and Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb. In 2014 Michael was part of the world premier of Maximilian Steinberg lost masterpiece “Passion Week” (Страстная Седмица), Opus 13 as well as the premier recording with Cappella Romana later that year. In addition to Cantores In Ecclesia, Michael is also a member of St James Collegium Musicale, St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, and Cappella Romana. Michael completed his B.A. degrees in both Vocal performance and Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Pacific University in 2012.
