Krisitn Chaudhary, soprano, is a soloist, choral singer, teacher, conductor, and academician. Kristin has been praised as a "smart musician with a good sense of style" (Thomas Bagwell, Metropolitan Opera) and a "confident performer with innate musicality" (Irma Cooper, AIMS Institute).

Kristin joined Cantores in Ecclesia in 2009 and has also performed with Opera Theater Oregon, the Washington Chamber Orchestra, Bravo Vancouver, the Vivace Voices, and the Student Opera Association of Portland. Kristin has performed principal roles in Die Fledermaus, Pirates of Penzance, and scenes from Dialogues des Carmelites, and as a soloist in Bach's St. John Passion. Kristin was a winner of the NATS competition and the Arizona Contemporary Chamber Music Competition and recipient of the Miriam Wolfe and Autenreith voice scholarships.

Kristin graduated summa cum laude with an MM in voice from Portland State University and a BM in voice from Arizona State University. She completed the German Lieder program at the American Institute of Musical Studies (Austria) under the direction of Harold Heiberg and was recently invited to coach with the famous Ellen Hargis as part of the Baroque Vocal Programme at Early Music Vancouver (Canada). Kristin currently studies with Nancy Olson Chatalas and has also worked with Anne Elgar Kopta, Ruth Dobson, and Doug Schneider.

In addition to performing, Kristin is a dedicated and enthusiastic pedagogue, teaching voice at Clark College and privately. As a longtime student of yoga, Kristin supplements traditional voice teaching methods with yoga techniques to assist her students with all aspects of their technical and creative development. Kristin is a NATS member and adjudicates for the annual NATS competition. She is also the conductor of the Touch of Class Chorale and the Classic Touch Women's Ensemble.
