David DeWert, bass, joined Cantores in Ecclesia in 1989 and quickly decided there was little point in singing anywhere else. Since completing his studies in printmaking and photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2002, he has pursued a career in product and documentary photo, his work being widely published in everything from "Food and Wine Magazine" to "Hollywood Regency and the Political Right in America." He is currently working on a series of photos to appear in a book about Empire Style vases.
